Illustration & Concept Art

Bringing worlds to life is my passion as an artist, I love spending time with the world I am working with and creating a piece that embodies it fully. As a long-time Dungeons and Dragons player, I derive much of my artistic pleasure from bringing my own characters to life as well as expanding on their story visually through my art. I mainly work in digital illustration in photoshop though I also work in graphite and marker to create my pieces.

This project is about a world I created, This world is based on a city built into a massive chasm. The city is separated into two sections the top (wealthy people) and the surface (poor section). The illustrations for this project were all created in Photoshop, I started these paintings with black and white images and then used a gradient map to start the color process. I chose the green and orange color scheme to reflect the murky smog-infested landscape I wanted to show how uncomfortable the landscape is with my color choices.
